The 2AM Business Hack That Solved My “No Business Card” Problem

I want to take a moment to let you know about a cool hack I found. It was hiding in plain sight🙄

I found myself in need of a business card recently. Not for the first time, but I’ve been procrastinating😅

Every time I take my corgi to a public place or event, it never fails that somebody will approach and gush over him. He loves it, and so do I because…CORGIS, right?!

They inevitably tell me how much they love the breed and want one or already have one and want another. Can you guess what I do next??

YEP! I offer to sell them one, of course😂 My dogs produce about two litters per year so if I don’t have any for sale at the moment, I offer to allow them on my waiting list for a small fee📜

Then they always ask for a business card and I don’t have one😬 Instead they have to whip out their phone and search for us on social media. Then they’re like, “Wha? Can u spell that??”🤣 It’s a less than ideal situation, right? Right.

I’ve been procrastinating getting some made because A) I don’t get out with my dog much and B) the expense for something I’ll probably forget to bring with me anyway🙄😅

It hit me at about 2 AM one night. I need a DIGITAL business card to keep on my phone! So I wrote the idea down and went back to sleep. The next day I set about the task of DIY. I wanted to make a scan-able QR code that folks can snap with their phones instead of typing/searching manually📱

Long story short, I made a QR code for FREE using Shopify and you can too! Even better is that their tool allows you to make unlimited codes for any website for free – no Shopify account needed either! Woohoo🙌

After I generated the code, I used Canva (also free) to make the card you see above. So contact me to get your game on with free QR codes. Your imagination is the only limit, my friend!

PPS: On a side note, some people have a big, underlying problem: your platform stinks! I was never fully happy with platforms like Drip, Wordpress and Shopify so I decided to build my own - the platform of my dreams🤩 Now I’m offering it to people who also feel the pain of paying WAY too much for essential tools that don’t stink.
